Crafty Cupcakes Design Team - September - Daisy Delight - Week 2

I am delighted to have been invited to take part in the Crafty Cupcakes Design Team for the month of September along with Jenny Dowding of Stampin' Jenny, you can visit Jenny's Blog here.
We have been given the Daisy Delight Stamp Set (page 127 A/C) to work with.

It also comes with the Daisy Punch and you can save 10% if you buy both in a Bundle.

I think we will all agree that it is always more challenging to do a male project.

So my project for Week 2 is a Masculine Treat Box.

Recipe:

  • Very Vanilla Cardstock   8  1/2"  x  7" plus a scrap piece   1"  x  3" for the Sentiment
  • Daisy Delight Stamp Set
  • Crumb Cake Ink and Cardstock
  • Dapper Denim Ink and Cardstock
  • Best Badge Punch
  • Simply Scored Scoring Tool
  • Envelope Punch Board

I stamped the Very Vanilla Cardstock with the 2 Step Leaf Stamps in both inks and then filled the gaps with the "centre" of the Daisy Stamp in both inks.

With my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I placed the stamped Cardstock on the 7" side,
I scored at 1" & 6"

With my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I placed the stamped Cardstock on the 8  1/2" side,
I scored at 1/2", 1  1/4",  3",  4  1/4",  5  1/2

Once all scored I flipped the Cardstck over and stamped the centre of the Daisy onto the larger panel.

Here is where I cut out.

I burnished my score lines, cut up at the small tabs and took notches out of each.
I rounded the corners of the bigger panel using the Envelope Punch Board.
You can also see where I added the Tear & Tape Adhesive.
I then folded and stuck my Box together.

Using the Best Badge Punch, I punched a Badge in Crumb Cake and Dapper Denim Cardstock.
I then put one on top of the other to give a small border of colour at the top of the Badge.
I attached the Badge with Dimensionals.

I Stamped the Sentiment in Dapper Denim onto the Very Vanilla scrap piece, rounded the corners, sponged the edges and attached it to the badge with Dimensionals.
